Laboratory Director

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform cannabis extraction and related processes, with responsibility for quality and efficiency
  Develop and maintain extraction operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures
• Oversee and assist with the setup and production of the extraction lab
• Ensure that safety and company policies are adhered to consistently and effectively
• Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and quality working relationships
• Manage compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead and/or provide guidance in the creation of and revision of SOPs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, with master’s degree or PhD highly desired
• 3+ years of experience managing a laboratory environment within cannabis or pharmaceuticals
• 2+ years of direct people management experience in laboratory environment
• Deep technical understanding of equipment and equipment maintenance
• Experience with formulation/R&D of a wide variety of product lines
• Current knowledge of laboratory technology, equipment, and processes to continuously improve/adapt methods and processes
• Innovative thinker who can pursue creative solutions to optimize equipment
• Ability to pass a background check
